POST MALONE
POST MALONE
Austin Richard Post (born July 4, 1995), known professionally as Post Malone, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and guitarist. He first gained major recognition in February 2015, after the release of his debut single "White Iverson". In August 2015, Malone landed a record deal with Republic Records. On December 9, 2016, he released his debut studio album Stoney.

Malone was born in Syracuse, New York. When he was 9 years old, he and his family moved to Grapevine, Texas. He enjoyed playing basketball and watching sports. His father was the Dallas Cowboys' assistant director of food and beverage, so Malone was able to get free food and tickets to their games. Malone began to play the guitar and auditioned for the band Crown the Empire in 2010, but was rejected after his guitar strings broke during the audition. He credited his initial interest in learning guitar to the popular video game Guitar Hero.

Malone first began learning how to produce music through FL Studio. When he was 16 years old, he started working on his first mixtape. He showed it to some of his classmates at Grapevine High School, garnering him notoriety at the school. He credited his love for music to his father, who exposed him to music making for all genres, including country music. He enrolled in Syracuse University, attending for only a few months.

In June 2016, 21 Savage was named as one of the "Freshman Class" of 2016 by XXL. On July 15, 2016, 21 Savage released his joint EP Savage Mode with Atlanta-based record producer Metro Boomin. The EP gained international success and peaked at number 44 on the Billboard 200, becoming their highest charting EP to date. He was on the cover of Fader. His single "X" featuring Future on the EP was confirmed by Billboard as going platinum, being 21's 1st platinum record.
SOB X RBE
SOB X RBE
SOB X RBE is the biggest thing to come out of Vallejo since Mac Dre
and, like the late Bay Area pioneer, the group makes rap songs that
capture both the exuberant energy and gritty foundation of their
Northern California soil. The four-man group comes from a small city
with a rich rap history and, over the last two years, they’ve built on the
groundwork that was laid before them, taking their homegrown sound to
new heights.
As teenagers, Yhung T.O, DaBoii, Slimmy B, and Lul G bonded over
their love of basketball and the fashion that surrounds it, trading shoes
back and forth between them. Later in high school, when they each had
aspirations of rap stardom, they formed a musical brotherhood, uniting
T.O’s Real Boi Entertainment with Slimmy B, Daboii, and Lul G’s Strictly
Only Brothers to establish the collective. Their 2016 tracks “Different”
and “Anti,” recorded in the basement at T.O’s grandmother’s house,
quickly became Bay Area anthems, catapulting the group into regional
celebrity.
In the past year, SOB X RBE has reached far beyond the Bay Area’s
borders. After racking up millions of views on their music videos, they
brought their high-energy hits on the road, selling out shows up and
down the West Coast before embarking on a nationwide tour. Last
February, they landed a spot on the Black Panther soundtrack with
“Paramedic!,” a scorching banger that adds a layer of polish while
maintaining their rough edges, followed by the release of their debut
album Gangin. On the project, the group raps about how far they’ve
come, how far they still have to go, and, above all, their loyalty to each
other.
Individually, each member of SOB X RBE brings a special element to
the table. Yhung T.O is a melodic heavyweight, packing knockout
punches into his sung lines; DaBoii is an untamed warrior, attacking the
mic with ferocity; Slimmy is the slick-talking anchor, staying the course
with his wordplay; and Lul G is their vibrant soul, fueling the party with
his never-ending drive. Their four voices stand out on their own but,
together, they’re unstoppable.
